TERESA SERRANO | GOLD, 2011.  This project plays with metaphorical associations and cultural constructions related to memory, identity, gender, and violence. She raises questions on the permanence of ethical issues from western culture. In her new works, Mold-blow, Equal Diameter, and Epitome, Serrano makes a subtle commentary on the current fragile state of the Catholic Church, as well as the conflictive reality of man.

SANDRA VALENZUELA (MEXICO 1980-) | WHITE LIES. Twelve works of medium format, formed by white embroidered phrases over white canvas: White over White: A Combination of Art & Language with Malevich. A series that explores emotional issues and human behavior by establishing relationships between our present with Art History.

ADRIAN GUERRERO (GUADALAJARA, MX 1975-) | IDENTIDAD. Olmeca is the first prehispanic culture in Mexican territory.  Due to the discovery of the famous Olmeca head, we are able to know about the Olmec features, as well as part of their identity. This work confronts the transcendental ancient culture with our present, modernity, the idealism of nationalism and the ambiguity of our complex contemporary reality.

CONSTRUCCIONES PRIMERAS This Project explores the cultural and social architecture of Tatepozco, Jalisco, México. In the XXI century, these constructions are made by Mexican workers with the minimum tools and no protection in the working environment. The pictures document the shapes in which the bricks are arranged in order to be oven cooked. Structures that witness a current form of exploitation that has not stopped.

RUBEN GUTIERREZ | Anxiety Reloaded 2012. This series signifies the way in which drug has penetrated the diverse layers of society and how drug trafficking configures diverse forms of social interaction. The series consists of the use of stencils made of cut outs which allow, by using pigment, for a quick image making. The pigment is set over the stencil cutouts, in this case the pigment being cocaine. By using the mayor merchandise of the drug war as an artistic material, the conflictive merchandise gains a new symbolic value: it becomes an artwork. Through this process, the artist points towards the ingenuity of a political and cultural system that insists on the possibility of maintaining a certain autonomy, while still operates in the center of society as a representative of culture.

MICHEL CHIOSSI | BURNED FEELINGS Neon Lights, 2013. This project started with the idea of using candles to create messages and originates in the typography used in “marchiatura d’origine” del Parmigiano Reggiano. Operates by the meaning behind the texts of burned feelings that reveal profound emotions as well as passions, feelings of longing, or as emotional Vanitas. The neon version is made with digital slangs. This project transmutes the prayer, as an ephemeral act, into the digital ephemeral realm of the chat. These expressions, used in chats and tweets, are ephemeral, same as Vanitas. By being done in a Neon sign, they link the slang with the chat and the sign. These series includes works like: LOVE LEGEND, MORE LOVE, JOY y LOL.
